About James

James Smith, Comox Valley Realtor

James Smith was born and raised in Montreal. After graduating from Loyola High School he attended John Abbott College and Bishop’s University, where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Soon after, he was wooed by the west, to Whistler and Vancouver, where he pursued his love for skiing, trained as a Japanese Teppanyaki chef, and worked in the Vancouver Film Industry. After ten years in the city, however, James and family decided it was time to move to paradise.

Settling in the beautiful area of Union Bay, James and his family enjoy much of what the recreation mecca of the Comox Valley offers, like skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and the beaches and lakes. James is also an active community member. He was elected as a trustee to the Union Bay Improvement District, coaches his children’s soccer teams, and remains highly interested in local politics, seeking new ways to help improving the community he loves to live in.

Breaking an Island wide rookie sales record in his first year, James has been a top producer in his office since, with regularly finishing near the top of the office in production. He continues to have extensive repeat business and personal referrals from highly satisfied clients. James believes this success has been the result of his dedication to his clients’ interests and a relentless work ethic. He is also very proactive in utilizing the Internet to market his listing and consistently secures a top ten google ranking. Working at Royal Lepage allows him to network daily with the most productive office in the Valley and by seeing many homes while continuously reviewing the sales statistics, James is able to seek out the bargains and homes that are situated in the most desirable locations in his pursuit of great deals and dream homes for his clients. His extensive knowledge of the market allows his buyers to become experts themselves and ensures that they purchase the home that is right for them.
